Abstract

The essay presents an analysis of some formal and stylistic elements of Il ponte. Un crollo, the last part of the trilogy that Vitaliano Trevisan dedicated to the character of Thomas. In particular, an attempt is made to describe the ways in which the author uses the figure of repetition by highlighting its structural as well as narrative aspects. In fact, repetition while seemingly aimed at supporting the character’s delirious monologue binds the parts and gives the text a firm and coherent structure.
