Dalla padella alla brace: su alcuni derivati di 'vrasa' e 'friere'

Abstract

This contribution, born of a new reflection on some lexicographical entries published on the book Parole del cibo in Campania: 100 voci del lessico gastronomico regionale, presents a large group of words attributable to *brasi̯- and frīgere. In most cases, this terms concern the sectors of gastronomy and material culture, sometimes characterised by interesting figurative senses and a rich phraseology.
