Abstract

The contemporary scenario features many and unusual versions of the sexual mercenary exchange, articulating new dynamics of desire. Prostitution remains a “question” which interrogates the gender and the difference between the sexes. According to a Freudian perspective, the authors present some reflection on the forms of sexuality today.

Adele Nunziante Cesàro Full Professor of Clinical Psychology at University of Naples “Federico II”; Head of the Department of Scienze Relazionali “G. Iacono” (2005-2010); Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Gender Studies at the Ph.D. School in Psychologycal and Pedagogical Sciences until 2011. Member of: Academic Senate of the University of Naples “Federico II”; Member of the Regional (Campania) board of the National Association of Psychologists ; of the SIUEERPP of Paris; of the Scientific Committee of the website www.bullismoomofobico.it.

Director of the counselling service to prevent Mobbing at the University of Naples “Federico II”; Scientific Supervisor for the Project "Adozione sociale" in cooperation with Comune di Napoli, Regione Campania and Asl Na1 Centroand of the European project "Hermes-linking network to fight sexual and gender stigma", promoted by TEOMESUS and co-financed within the Daphne III Programme.
