4 P against gender based violence: Prevention, Protection, Prosecution of perpetrators, Politicies

Abstract

The Parliamentary Committee of Enquiry focused on femicide was set up by Senate of Italian Republic in order to investigate about the problem and to propose to Italian Parliament the way how to intervene. It’s following the Istanbul Convention guidelines based on “4P”: Prevention, Protection, Prosecution, Politics. Italy improved in prosecution and protection, less in the others. We need to reach a real turning point. We need a cultural battle to fight backing on the education of the future generation and investing in training and professional skills for operators who have to take action.
