Abstract

The regulatory framework for the protection of individual rights affected by the increasingly pervasive use of generative artificial intelligence technologies is currently found in the European Union’s Regulation on artificial intelligence. The investigation into the manifestations of human dignity in relation to this new technology leads to a cross-sectional examination of the provisions of the Regulation, intended to ensure the principles of equality, freedom, and self-determination of the individual. The essay concludes with a focus on the protective measures, especially regarding the right to personal identity, included in the proposed national legislation on deepfake
