Abstract

The article analyses the role played by the stock company called Insud, “Nuove iniziative per il Sud”, the first interregional financial company for the development of the South Italy, in the promotion and financing of integrated centres or hotel-tourist villages in Calabria. This type of accommodation had a dual purpose: to create hotel and residential facilities with a wide range of services able to produce economic growth in the surrounding area and to channel tourist flows from abroad.
