Abstract

The contribution focuses on the artistic production of Domenico Antonio Vaccaro, in particular on the numerous Vesuvian noble residences located along the Miglio d’Oro that saw his intervention. Here he showed a scenic and theatrical talent, with construction sites that brought together the most talented artists and craftsmen in the Kingdom, collaborating on decorations and ornamentation in stucco and piperno. Finally, the analysis focuses on Bartolomeo Granucci, a disciple of Vaccaro, and his main works, which reveal extreme elegance and refinement in the decorative details. Finally, the analysis focuses on Bartolomeo Granucci, a disciple of Vaccaro, and his main works, which reveal extreme elegance and refinement in the decorative details.
