Abstract

The article is divided into two parts: in the first part, a definition and typological classification is offered of the texts that the author writes for himself, called here «egotexts», using a term already introduced elsewhere. In the second part, the notes written by Leonardo da Vinci in his numerous notebooks are adopted as a case study: a typology is offered, their modes of production are investigated, and the most significant cases are discussed, in order to verify the notion of egotext proposed in the first part.
