The article (the second of two closely related contributions: the first appeared in issue ii of the a. 2024 of this journal) intends to analyse the prose of the oldest Pavia text, the so-called Pavia Grisostomo, a vernacular-paraphrase of Neminem laedi nisi a se ipso, a homily by St John Chrysostom. This second part focuses on the textual, syntactic and rhetorical strategies of the interpolated central portion, which is original to the source text. The analysis not only confirms the stylistic and expressive compactness of Grisostomo (the original portion replicates the tendencies already identified in the actual vernacularisation), but also consolidates the impression that the work should be linked to a homiletic-predicatory dimension.
