Abstract

This essay intends to delve deeper into the process/project of "degrowth" as a possible strategy for the creation of a more just form of society. In particular, it proposes a critical reflection on economic development as such, an ethnocentric and ethnocidal concept, imposed with the violence of colonization and imperialism.
