The paper concerns a notarial formulary drafted in the mid-15th century by Giovanni Bizzozzero, a notary based in Varese. It incorporates fragments of a formulary created by Filippo Stefanini, a notary from Pallanza, as well as additions made by Antonio Fossati, a notary from Meride. The analysis of the material and structural aspects, as well as the dynamics of the selection and organisation of the documents, and the profiles of the various responsibilities identified and the different ways and times of their editorial interventions, provides valuable insights that complement the historical-legal studies already completed. This analysis allows us to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural horizons that framed the elaboration of the manuscript.
