Abstract

A few unpublished documents demonstrate the ‘cathar’ heretics’ presence in the veronese territory (in the castles of Sirmione and Cerea, between the 12th and 13th centuries) and in the city itself,  as well as  the tendency of the municipal political authorities towards a repressive attitude.
