Pseudo-Dionysius, Aeropagitic LiteratureAbstract
In 2018 Ernesto Sergio Mainoldi offered the scholars a ponderous volume, a synthesis of a twenty-year study, with the aim of taking stock of pseudo-Dionysian literature and proposing a historiographical hypothesis that takes account (as much as possible) of all aspects of Corpus. If the value of the contribution is already evident at first reading, given the soundness of the research on sources and of the arguments, it is less automatic to establish the level of incidence of the essay. Starting from the first reviews dedicated to it we can get an idea of some positionings, but it would be highly desirable that conferences and monographic comparisons were dedicated to Mainoldi’s proposal.
