Children’s literature is usually set in an abstract present or in a fairy-tale past. However, this literature, far from being abstract, is permeated with echoes and urgencies of current events. The present work presents a books’ selection based on hot topics and tries to sketch an itinerary from an example of publications from the Seventies till nowadays. It is therefore possible to highlights some moments in which the way of narrating or the images that are employed are taken from the news; particular attention is paid to the use of photography in children's books as an indication of concrete reality.Downloads
