The aim of this contribution is to draw an overview of the vitality of Dante Alighieri in Finland in the context of the seven hundredth anniversary of his death. At the center of the picture are the Finnish translations and adaptations of the Commedia and other Dante's works. The frame, on the other hand, consists of the studies conducted in Finland on Dante's works and their reception, as well as on Dante's influence in Finnish literature. After a brief summary of these two strands, three new publications are presented: the translation of Mickey's Inferno (2013), the audiobook Dalla selva oscura al Paradiso (2020) and Kansankielestä. De vulgari eloquentia (2021). Proposals for future Finnish Dante studies conclude.
