The space of insecurity and the insecurity of space. A reflection

Abstract

Insecurity has to do with the feeling and the thought of people and it is caused by environmental conditions, by a lack of communication, by events and by intolerance, etc., induced in particular by the spirit of the times. This reflection has a more limited horizon than the one with regard to the many variations with regard to sensibility; this reflection limits itself to considering a group of ways of obtaining security with regard to the control of space, pointing out the inadequacies of this control. In this spatial project (architectural and city planning), to the “constructivist” optimism of the late modern period there has been added in the post-modern period a “de-constructivism” and an intentional instability.
