Abstract

Environmental infrastructures today play a priority and structuring role in urban regeneration practices for the future of the contemporary city.
Starting from the reinterpretation of international and European policies, of the latest generation plans and of the roots of the theme and of the design, new interpretative categories of green and blue infrastructures (Ivb) have been traced to build a toolbox, for virtuous actions that the city must adopt to address the issues at stake.
Through the analysis of the tools and dynamics in place in the city of Milan, as a paradigmatic experience to rethink possible trajectories for the future of the contemporary city, a synoptic framework and methodological kit has been reconstructed of which are the tools to design, manage and program them, from the metropolitan scale to that of proximity.
