This contribution traces the symbolic and theoretical significance of the concept of trama (weaving/textual texture) in the Western poetic tradition, starting from the image of weaving evoked by the troubadour Bernart Marti, in which the interlacing of words and sounds becomes both an amorous gesture and an act of knowledge. This image provides the key to reading the journal TRAME, which is reborn after a long hiatus, and helps to clarify its cultural and methodological horizon. Central to this perspective is the relationship between sound and meaning, between language and voice, understood as poiein: a conscious and laborious practice, yet one open to creative unpredictability. TRAME thus takes shape as a space for critical dialogue among genres, languages, and traditions, promoting comparative literature as a tool for cultural exchange.
