Abstract

The contribution provides a list of sources and lexicographic instruments
used in the laboratory of the Dizionario Etimologico e Storico del Napoletano
(DESN). The term fonti refers to the core of the lexicographic repertoires on which
the Dictionary is based; whereas strumenti to the set of lexicographic works used
to compile the entries. The sources, which cover a time span ranging from the beginnings
of the 16th century to the contemporary era, are described starting from
their compilation features and their usefulness in relation to the description of the
Neapolitan lexicon. The instruments are divided within a structure that takes into
account the heterogeneity of the reference works used by the authors of the DESN.
