This article represents the second part of a broader preparatory study for a critical edition of Matteo Spinelli’s Diurnali. After summarizing, in the first part, the debate about the authenticity of Spinelli’s text, this second part focuses on the textual tradition of the Diurnali and provides an edition of the only printed version of the chronicle, which can be dated to the 17th century and was reprinted in 1872 by Giovanni Viga e Giuseppe Dura.
