Abstract

The study proposes three entries for DESN: mbrellara, pignatara, saccunera. These are three female occupational nouns that have two features in common: they are absent from Neapolitan dictionaries, and they are entries taken from Federico Albano Leoni’s corpus of obituaries. In addition, I will make an excursion into the presence of female occupational nouns in Italian and Neapolitan lexicography.
