Abstract

A reinterpretation of the urban history through the examination of a little-known cartographic collection, that includes some copies of the Pianta di Napoli made by Federico Schiavoni, used for the project of rehabilitation and expansion of the city after cholera epidemic (1884); the unusual map entitled Comune di Napoli e sue divisioni agrologiche, made by Giuseppe Comi-Calabrò in the context of the cadastral work at the beginning of the 20th century; several tables to revise the relief by Schiavoni have been drafted in the mid-twenties by town technicians in the frame of the new urban pattern.
