Guest Editor
The "Fuori Luogo" guest-editing includes the following tasks and procedures:
-
- Prepare the Call for paper (Cfp) with the agreement of the Director, the Editor in Chief and one of the member of the Editorial committee. The Cfp must request complete articles and include the deadlines, the estimated time of publication and all the details that are deemed useful to raise the quality of the requested contributions, producing a list of possible themes, emphasize compliance with editorial standards (under penalty of rejection of the article) starting from the submission of the proposal and until the completion of the article after the peer review process;
- Contribute to the diffusion of the Cfp via traditional media and social networks;
- Manage correspondence with contributors, always including in c/c the Director and the Editor-in-Chief in the correspondence;
- Keep the flatplan in excel updated through dropbox or other cloud platforms in which the procedures and files of contributors and reviewers will be shared;
- Identify reviewers (we have a list to which you can refer, but we encourage you to contact new ones equal to at least twice the selected papers), submit each article to at least two among the selected ones (for this process, you will have to manage our web site: serena.unina.it);
- Take part, together with the Editor-in-Chief, the Director and the member of the Editorial Committee, in the selection of articles to be published or rejected, even and above all in the most controversial cases;
- Find an agreement on the final selection of the articles for the Special Issue (minimum 6 maximum 8);
- Keep the review process strictly anonymous;
- Examine the feedback from peer-reviewers and request contributors to change their paper consequently. If necessary – once obtained the opinion of the Director – he can request more rounds of peer-reviewing;
- Write an introduction (collectively) for the monographic issue (minimum 2000 maximum 4000 words).
- Refrain from submitting a contribution, either as sole authors or as non-presenting co-authors, in the same issue in which they serve as guest editors.
- The selection of contributions, both during the abstract review phase and the paper evaluation process, is a collaborative effort between the guest editors and the editorial team. The editorial board of Fuori Luogo reserves the right to reject submissions from authors who have been placed on the journal’s blacklist due to unethical behavior or violations of its regulations and code of conduct.
You can find these recommendations for guest editors in the menu in the files section.
