Abstract

This essay explores the theme of copying within the contemporary artistic dimension, starting from Borges' literary experience. In particular, the great Argentine writer's famous story Pierre Menard, author of "Quixote", is analysed, through a philosophical perspective, with the aim of demonstrating the conceptual centrality of the copy.
