Here is published the text of a theater-reading on the Encomio di Elena by Gorgia da Leontini, written and directed by Rosario Diana. The work was performed twice at the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Filosofici (Palazzo Serra di Cassano, Via Monte di Dio, 14): May 30th, 2017, in the Hall of Mirrors, and May 23th, 2018, in Theater of Philosophy and Arts. An essay by the Author (Breve nota sul ruolo del leggio nel teatro musicale di lettura) introduces the lectorial score. In this essay the Author demonstrates the function of the lectern: it opens new communicative and expressive horizons.
