Abstract

In this contribution, a rereading of the characteristics of the Hungarian 'postmodern (literary) phrase' (the subject of reflection in Tottossy 1995 with reference to the period of greatest maturation of literary postmodernity in Hungary, 1975-1995) is proposed. The parameters of the rereading will be the Hungarian, 'glocal' (creative and literary-critical, implicit or explicit) interpretation of the developments found in the interrelationships between neo-avant-garde, postmodernism and realism, with the aim of arriving at an initial signaling of the divergences between the 'traditional' realism formalized by György Lukács (and with respect to which an attempt is made to avoid simplifications and trivializations) and that outlined in the context of Hungarian criticism interested in the 'new realism'. The work is intended to be a further component of the ontological-social and historical-cultural mapping of Hungarian literary action and fact, in anticipation of a new theoretical synthesis.
