Un 'Regimen sanitatis' in napoletano antico (terza parte)

Abstract

In the previous issues of this journal (RiDESN II/1 and II/2, 2024), the Italian translation from German of Mussafia’s linguistic study on the Regimen sanitatis was published. This is a short poem written in Old Neapolitan and dating back to the early 14th century, presented according to the 1884 edition, along with the notes and glossary prepared by the scholar. In this third part, we offer a deeper examination of certain aspects of Mussafia’s work, with the aim of highlighting its significance and impact on subsequent studies of the Neapolitan dialect.
