Abstract

In recent years in Italy the fracture between elected officials and voters has assumed increasingly significant proportions. The contribution will attempt to examine what are believed to be the main factors that undermine the stability of representation, such as the personalization of politics, the inconsistency of the rules of electoral systems and the so-called judicial protagonism, which, increasingly inclined to abandon the field of law enforcement, claims to replace the regulator through decisions not supported by any presumption of general sharing, the result of a single non-representative decision-making expression
