The issue of the unreality of time has increased its importance thanks to the new contemporary physical discoveries that marked a turning point in the debate. Among the variety of different speculations on the topic, presentism seems to be the most appropriate in depicting the features of time, even if it runs into problems compared with physics. Time has three main characteristics: it flows, it is future-oriented, and present can be conceived as the only existent part of the time scan. All these features, which are grounded in the common sense's view of time, are considered fundamental in the presentist perspective that is deeply in contrast with physics. In this article, I claim that the McTaggart's idea about the unreality of time (1908) needs to be reconsidered in light of all the new physical discoveries and hypotheses like, Einstein's Theory of Relativity and Kurt Gödel's Rotating Universe Theory, respectively. Moreover, I devote a part of the paper to time travels, underlining that even if they are phisically infeasible in our expanding universe, they are possible, which means that there is no objective time measurement. Finally, I consider Oaklander's viewpoint in defence of McTaggart's Theory, in order to underline that presentists' theory is nothing but a subjectivistic perspective.
