Abstract

The text aims to investigate the connection between vision and truth in modern philosophy. What does the truth mean? Is everything we look true? How much does our sight change our conception of reality? What is the role of the body and mind in the cognitive process? These issues and many others are the basis of the analysis made by Manuela Sanna: answers are in the theories of modern philosophers (first of all Descartes). The investigation, although limited to the modern era, includes also important references to ancient and contemporary philosophy.
