Author Biographies

Valentina Sturli, “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara

Valentina Sturli is a senior researcher in Comparative Literature at the Department of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara. She has written essays on thematic criticism, contemporary Italian and French literature, horror cinema and TV series. She has to his credit the monographs Figure dell’invenzione (Quodlibet 2020), Estremi Occidenti (Mimesis 2020), a critical edition of Tozzi's Bestie (2022), and has an essay in preparation for Carocci on the subject of the intellectual degrading himself for love.

François-Xavier Guerry, University of Clermont Auvergne

François-Xavier Guerry is a maître de conférences at the University of Clermont Auvergne. He holds a doctorate in Classical Spanish Literature and is the author of a thesis on eroticism in the six continuations of La Celestina (1499-1560), defended at Sorbonne Université (2020). Most of his research focuses on the legacy and reception over the long term (from the sixteenth century to the present day) of the work of Fernando de Rojas, and, more broadly, of classical Spanish literature, whatever the media, forms or supports used, as well as on eroticism and the erotic lexicon in Spanish literature of the Golden Age.
