Abstract

The essay explores the representations in a comic way of the relationship between a pupil and a master, and examines the contradictions that characterize  the transmission of knowledge and skills from a generation to another. The essay investgates especially the complex interplays between Culture and Nature.

Author Biography

Stefano Brugnolo, University of Pisa

Stefano Brugnolo teaches Literary Theory at University of Pisa. He has written monographs about Huysmans and Salvatore Satta. He has also written books about humour noir and the literariness of scientific discourses; recently he published a literary theory handbook (with Davide Colussi, Sergio Zatti and Emanuele Zinato). He also published several essays in periodicals and collections.
