This volume offers a reflection, developed within the PRIN research project “Mapping the new spatial inequalities within Southern European cities”, on socio-economic inequalities in the city of Naples. In the field of urban studies, the analysis of inequalities is a topic of growing importance, as the spatial configurations of cities are closely linked to the social and economic processes that condition their reproduction. Critical reflection on the relationship between urban form and social justice, as well as on the right to the city, has guided urban planning in the field of redistributive policies aimed at enhancing urban welfare. The research was carried out using indirect sources, thanks to the observation of various variables and certain social and economic indicators, as well as by investigating spatial characteristics. This approach was accompanied by explorations using qualitative techniques, adopting the tools of social, anthropological and ethnographic research. The research focused on the links between space and society, attempting to capture its dynamics of reproducing inequalities.
